Word Herd — Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Word Herd account and the data
associated with it. Word Herd is a solo-developer app (Trevor Corbin) and requests are
handled manually — see the steps below.
How to request deletion
- Email trvr.word.herd@gmail.com
with the subject line "Delete my account".
- Include your in-app friend code (Profile tab → your code) or the display name
you play under, so your account can be located. If you signed in with Google, include that
Google account's email too.
- You'll get a confirmation reply once the account and its data have been deleted —
typically within a few days, and no later than 30 days from your request.
What gets deleted
- Your account itself (Firebase Authentication record — anonymous or linked Google).
- Your profile: display name, avatar, coins, owned cosmetic items, entitlements.
- Your game stats and history: scores, streaks, saved dictionaries.
- Your social data: friend list, friend code, pending friend requests and match invites.
- Any multiplayer match or room you're currently part of that hasn't finished yet.
What may not be immediately removed
- Completed multiplayer matches involving other players — a finished match or
room already stores a copy of your display name/avatar alongside the other player's
result. Rather than corrupting another player's match history, these copies age out
naturally under the app's existing data-retention schedule (typically within a couple of
weeks of the match ending) instead of being rewritten immediately on deletion.
- Anonymized analytics and crash diagnostics (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics,
Performance Monitoring) are not tied to your display name or email and are not
individually retrievable or deletable per-account — they're aggregate, device-level
data used to understand app usage and stability.
- Play Store purchase records are retained by Google as required for its own
billing, tax, and refund obligations, independent of your Word Herd account.
